Stream link protection!!

Hi there,

We (as you probably know already) found out that a lot of people make direct links to the LIVE ATC streams we provide you via this site. In most cases people even don't bother to ask permission and even 'forget' to mention the source (ATCBOX) which is more than rude since we use donations provided with our respected Goldmembers for covering the costs to go along with streaming the LIVE ATC.

Since the streams are running through our server and it's costing us bandwith the policy from the beginning is that the streams should only be available via ATCBOX and not via other sites.

Sventek has been busy this week programming a protection script which makes it almost impossible to 'abuse' the stream-links. You don't have to know how or what but it's really a great job, thank you SVENTEK!!!! Deep respect for your efforts, time and knowledge which you provide to us for free!!

The only way to listen to the LIVE Dutch ATC streams is now via ATCBOX so you have to be a member and logged on to the site. If you don't comply with both these things you will NOT be able to listen anymore.

Bookmarking is also excluded. You can only listen to the streams by clicking the links on OUR site! It's a pitty it has to be like this but it's the only way to avoid that we have to cancel the streams completely due to the abuse.

To make the streams better accessable, besides the links on the homepage, there's a new block called 'LIVE Dutch ATC' on the left (which is always visible, no matter what you do on ATCBOX) just below the Messenger block (only visible for registered users). Clicking this links will bring you to the desired stream(s), a nice solution I think.
