SBS-1 Live Radar project

Hi,

For a while now we are busy with a Live Radar project. No aprils fool this time, for real!

We bought the hardware and are testing it. It's great to see all the mode-S equipped aircraft flying overhead, to and from Schiphol, look at the screenshots posted in the forum topic.

This week I will arrange cables and connectors and the goal is to put a pc with all the software as a streaming video device so people can enjoy this feature. Mind you, it will take some time to complete this project but we're working on it. The progress and news will be posted in the same forum topic.

Meanwhile we created a special SBS-1 page on ATCBOX from which you can download datafiles (required for aircraft registrations), outlines and waypoints. It's an open community and people help each other by sharing files. If you are the happy owner of a SBS-1 device you can download these files for free. Much more will be added the next couple of days so take a look sometimes. We gather all files regarding the Netherlands and the countries around since that's the only interest for us. If you have something you cannot find on this page, please contact me so we can add it to this 'database'.
